DERMAL PUNCHING / SCALPING

DERMAL PUNCHING

Dermal punching is primarily used in cartilage when you want to make a large hole at once.  We use a biopsy punch to punch out the hole, and you can make the hole up to 8mm. Growth time like a normal cartilage piercing, about 4-6 months.

SCALPELLING

If you want a large piercing in soft tissue, we use a scalpel. That is, either making a straight cut with a scalpel, or sometimes removing a piece of tissue. It is most common to have the earlobes scalpeled, but the technique can be used in other locations as well. Grotid depending on location.
